Do you care to exercise?

There can be several benefits to exercising as a means to improve one’s health besides improved physical appearance or body composition. These often include improved energy levels/stamina, joint health & function and even improved cognitive function, which, despite their demand for consistent effort, can be usually worth the while in regards to long-term health and longevity.

The challenging reality is that there is also a high cost to choosing a sedentary lifestyle and avoiding the effort required for health maintenance. When we make this choice, factors such as increased risk of cardiovascular disease, inflammation and even cognitive decline/impairment can become likely outcomes.

The good news is that you don’t need to become an elite bodybuilder or complete a hyrox every week to reap these benefits, nor to avoid these adverse effects. As long as you commit yourself to a realistic yet challenging exercise schedule you can be on the right track.

In knowledge of this, the question remains always open: what will you choose today and every day onwards?
